Time lapse-point and shoot camera?

Time lapse photography is not the same as video. A good video has 24 to 30 fps (frames per second). Time lapse photography may have seconds, minutes or even hours between frames (pictures). You need a camera that does Interval Timer Shooting, as my Nikon P7000 calls it. On DSLR's, you need an intervalometer. The alternative is to take the pix yourself at specific intervals, a real pain. It may be time to get a new camera.
