He probably didn't enroll you. You won't be able to get on until open enrollment later this year. You likely have to get a short term health insurance plan (a.k.a. a temporary health insurance plan) in the interim. It won't cover any meds, pre-existing, preventative, etc... But, if you get hit by a bus, you're good to go.
