Hinduism :what is the importance of Guru in kaliyuga?

In kaliyuga the Guru is very important person in are life but be care full to select a true Guru. ok first clear ur question in our body are soul is like a lamp, and a Guru decide to light ur lamp in a temple lamp fire or use a samsan ghat fire....... sorry my English is not good .
